2nd Annual Gran Mercer Metric Bike Ride
June 14, 2014
The Gran Mercer Metric Charity Bike Ride is a road ride to benefit Child Protect of Mercer County, Inc. This scenic ride takes place in the Appalachian Mountains of Mercer and Summers Counties in southern West Virginia. The ride will begin and end at Concord University in Athens, West Virginia and continue along paved mountain roads throughout the two counties. Register for the Lick Creek 30 or the Extreme Metric Century route to give you a challenge! As part of the New River Cycling Series, riders may be entered to win the Grand Prize: a week-long stay for two at the Rimini Bike Hotel in Italy. To be eligible to win, riders have two options. They may either pre-register for all four rides at a discounted rate before May 24, 2014 OR register individually and participate in three of the four rides included in the series (the GMM is one of these!) The other three rides in the series are: the Galax Grand Fondo on May 31, Big Walker Charity Ride on June 21, and the Mule Hell Roubaix on June 22.
